One of the most southerly positioned narrowboat builders, Reading Marine Company is ideally situated on the Kennet & Avon Canal.

Every boat offers individual challenges. Each design will fulfil a unique requirement, therefore a strong emphasis is placed on a team approach involving the client at every stage. Each project is tailor made to achieve the most effective design incorporating the client's need and their individual budget.

We build around 8 boats per year for clients from all over the UK. We have also built 2 boats that are now based on the Dutch canals.

We produce a top quality craft with probably the best standard of joinery available anywhere. Using light coloured timber and curved surfaces we achieve a great feeling of space.

We are members of BMIF and CBA and use the BMIF contract to ensure consumer protection. All our craft comply fully with the EC Recreational Craft Directive.

Prices are around £1600 per foot for a full specification boat.
